My First Impressions While Attending UNLV

We're off to a great start becoming a UNLV Rebel! I am going for a BSBA in Information Management. I am currently pre-business and have to wait until I complete course requisites to declare my major officially. I am taking a large workload for the first semester at sixteen credits.
I am doing well in all my classes, except Math 124. The rest of the classes are interesting and fun to do the homework! English 101, Bus 103, PSC 101, and IS 101 are all great classes and I am learning a lot. My favorite assignment is a group project that we are doing in Bus 103. The assignment is to raise $500 and use the money to make kits to give to a charity of our choice. Since I am not performing strongly in Mat 124 I am going to seek a math tutor outside of class. I applied for an organization called RVF which is the Rebel Venture Fund. It is an organization that uses real money to invest in startups and performing due diligence with that company. I am excited to see if I get in because angel investors from other companies give you guidance.

Hi again,

I finished my first exam at the VA and they gave me an x-ray of my hand to see if there is any underlying damage. The Post 9/11 GI Bill certificate of eligibility still has not processed, but UNLV is able to accept a status of benefits to use the GI Bill for tuition. I am currently applying for jobs and I am looking at a part-time position on UNLVs campus. Yaoyao has been busy lately at work and is in her final stretch for her work probation. After she is released from the probational period she is allowed to take vacation time and I am excited to see where we will go next.

Leaving Active Duty Air Force

I have been missing the day to day grind of generating aircraft sorties lately. I am in limbo right now waiting on my disability rating and my Post 9/11 G.I. Bill certificate of eligibility. I am happy to say I reenlisted with the Air Force Reserves. I have been waiting roughly a month for all of these things to finalize.
Traded in my Black 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe R-Spec for a Black 2017 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab TRD Off-Road. So far, I'm in love with the truck. The wife likes it so that is a huge bonus. I was beyond happy that it fit in the garage.

Wow 2017!

Hello Claus Bloggers,

It's been a while since I last posted, but I do have good news. I passed my End of Course test for me becoming a 7-level in Aerospace Integrated Avionics! I now have a huge load of stress taken off of my shoulders. Although, I have to take on more responsibility while I'm at work. Which I am fine with. Yaoyao and I picked up a huge desk for her to study and finish her last year of college. We researched and found out it was made in Indiana by Shelbyville Desk Co. They are no longer in business, but you can find desks similar to it. We love it! The desk is so large we could not bring it upstairs to our loft. We decided to put it where our dining table has been and moved our dining table where our living room was. Plus side to that is it is closer to bring food from the kitchen to the table. Down-side is we have barely in furniture in the current dining room. Our living room now is nicely furnished. We traveled a down the road to our local thrift store and picked out nice picture frames and paintings. That little bit alone made the house feel cozy! My co-worker was living with us for 2 weeks until he deployed. He is keeping his belongings on the new overhead storage rack I installed in our garage. The storage rack is big enough to hold everything he had. The dimensions of it are 8 feet long by 4 feet wide. TAX RETURN CAME IN! Guess what that means? I know you know. It is time to treat ourselves a little bit. Yaoyao and I have decided to keep about 85 percent of it. The rest we are going to treat ourselves either with a little vacation or buy some more furniture. We decided to split the tax return 50/50. We found that to be the best. I hope all of you have had a great first month of the year! 2017 has definitely been interesting so far.

Cheers,
